Art of the Entry specialises in creating timeless accents that elevate the exterior of homes. They believe that a home’s exterior can evoke feelings of belonging, connection, and intention, just as much as its interior.

Art of the Entry offers a range of beautiful and thoughtful products that capture the joy of coming home and welcoming others. Their collection includes mailboxes, doormats, planters, wreaths, and hand-painted house numbers. Each item is crafted to add a unique and personal touch to your home’s exterior.

We were thrilled to collaborate with Monica Lavin, Designer and Founder of Art of the Entry, to design the packaging for their products. The goal? To create packaging that not only stands out from the competition, especially the big box companies, but also resonates with their target audience, making the brand easy to identify and remember.

The enlarged illustration highlights the main entry area, subtly indicating where the doormat will be used and giving a glimpse of the product inside the box.

The tagline 'Love Thy Neighbor' is positioned on one of the top flaps, making this element the first thing they see when opening the product, adding an element of surprise that Art of The Entry infuses into their design.

To kick things off, we took a close look at the brand identity crafted by Roselind Co. for Art of the Entry. Our mission was to blend our design style with this existing identity, ensuring we meet the brand’s goals and the project’s objectives. We approached the packaging design with the same care and attention you’d expect in the beauty industry—making sure it’s recognisable from afar and eye-catching from the curb.

Here’s how we approached the design:

  • Tailored Packaging: We crafted each box to suit the specific product, yet kept the design flexible enough to accommodate different or seasonal variations.

  • Illustrative Focus: Using illustrations designed for Art of the Entry, we highlighted the specific areas of the home where the products will be used. We balanced these visuals with a minimal and clean design, evoking a timeless, thoughtful, tranquil, and exclusive feel.

  • Special Touches and Unboxing Experience: Inspired by Apple’s packaging style, we incorporated a special slip inside each package. This slip provides a dedicated space for Monica and her team to include instructions and personlised postcard. This thoughtful addition not only enhances the unboxing experience but also adds an extra later of personalisation and care, making the customer journey even more inviting

The lattice or diamond-grid window illustration adds a touch of creativity to the box, symbolizing a home element that seamlessly connects the outside with the inside.
